Privacy policy
Privacy policy for eclaircms.org: no tracking cookies, no analytics, and contact details that are used only to reply to you.
This website respects your privacy: it sets no tracking cookies, uses no analytics tools and loads no third-party scripts. The only personal data processed is the data you choose to send through the contact form. This page explains what that data is, why it is processed and how long it is kept, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible for your data?
Thierry Gustin, the publisher of this website, who can be reached at thierry.gustin@gmail.com or through the contact page. Full contact details are in the legal notice.
What data is collected, and why?
| Situation | Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, email, message, page it was sent from | Replying to your request | Your request (pre-contractual steps) and my legitimate interest in replying to you |
| Contact form | IP address | Preventing spam and abuse | Legitimate interest (website security) |
| Visiting the website | Hosting provider’s technical logs (IP address, date, page requested, browser) | Security and proper operation of the service | Legitimate interest |
The form limits the number of messages per network using a hashed, unreadable fingerprint of the IP address, which is kept temporarily.
How long is it kept?
- Form messages: as long as it takes to handle your request, then no more than 3 years after our last exchange.
- Technical logs: for the period set by the hosting provider for the security of its servers.
Who can access it?
Only me. Messages are stored in the website’s admin, hosted in France by o2switch, and a copy is emailed to my inbox (Gmail, by Google). Your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising.
What about cookies?
The public website sets none, so no cookie banner is needed. Only people who log in to the admin (the website’s publisher) receive a technical session cookie, which is required to log in.
What are your rights?
At any time, you can request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, or the restriction of its processing; object to its processing; or request its portability, by writing to thierry.gustin@gmail.com. I reply within one month at most.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with a data protection authority: the AEPD in Spain, where the publisher is established, or the authority in your own country, such as the CNIL in France.
